Last night The Radio Academy held its inaugural Audio & Radio Industry Awards (ARIAs), with Wireless taking home four prestigious gongs.
Up against stiff national competition, Pulse 1 Radio’s Danny Mylo and Rosie Madison took home the Gold award for Best Music Presenter [Breakfast].
talkSPORT’s 2018 FIFA World Cup coverage won two Silver awards for Best Marketing Campaign and Best Commercial Promotion for its advertising activity with Just Eat. Both awards neatly demonstrate Wireless' ability to create innovative advertising opportunities for advertisers.
Last, but absolutely not least, Tower FM took home the Bronze award for Best News coverage for its emotive programme, We stand Together - The Manchester Arena Attack One Year On.
In a note to staff, Wireless CEO Scott Taunton said: “This is a huge achievement for Danny, Rosie and the wider Pulse 1 team and highlights the brilliant work being done at the station. I’d also like to congratulate talkSPORT and Tower FM on their awards and all of our other shortlisted nominees from across our radio stations.”
Held at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, the glitzy awards bash recognises the best shows, presenters and stand out marketing activity in UK.
